Baja Presbyterian Missions
|
BPM partners with the Mexican Presbyterian Church to plan and nurture missions and churches in Baja California. Currently, eight pastors and church workers at sites in Tijuana, Tecate, Mexicali and Ensenada, plus a mission in San Jose del Cabo, receive support. There are many opportunities to serve on the Board of Directors, purchase & donate Christmas gifts for the children in Mexican congregations, or contribute financially to the building of new BPM Church facilities. |

Baja partnership of the PCUSA and the National Presbyterian Church of Mexico in evangelism, new church development, seminary education, community health and development, and cross-cultural mission team experiences.The Community Health Nurse works in poor neighborhoods training and leading health promoters in early detection of cancer, diabetes and heart disease, as well as health education in schools. The Sun House Building Project is a partnership with Pueblos Hermanos. |

Casa de la Esperanza

Casa de la Esperanza (SpiritOfCasa.org) is home to nearly 70 children, adolescents and young adults. Current directors are Alejandra Rivera de Lara and husband Antonio Lara Cardenas. The couple focuses on continuing education and building a strong religious foundation. Contributions help remove these children from a life destined to poverty and ignorance. |

Y Malawi
|
Malawi suffers from starvation, an AIDS/HIV epidemic and one of the highest levels of poverty and unemployment in Africa. LJPC, in partnership with World Vision and other churches, is working through child sponsorship, micro-finance and evangelism to bring the hope of the gospel to an area in Malawi called Nkhoma. We have relationships with the Presbyterian Church, specifically Pastor Vasco Kachipapa, the youth pastor in central Malawi. |

A staff of Christian doctors and nurses provide eye care and general medical treatment at this Presbyterian Hospital in Taxila, Pakistan, established in 1922. Beyond treating eye problems, the Hospital also covers dental work, prenatal care, immunization, health education, obsterics and pharmacy needs. |

The Evangelical Theological Seminary (ETF) in Osijek, Croatia, is a ministry associated with Action International. ETF provides undergraduate and graduate level training for pastors, missionaries and church leaders in Central and Eastern Europe. There is an urgent need for student scholarships, textbooks and translation of materials. |

By replacing vicious cylces of poverty and deforestation with a virtuous cycle of opportunity and environmental restoration, PWP provides long-term solutions in the Dominican Republic, Haiti, Mexico, Tanzania, Thailand and Burundi, reaching over 220 communities worldwide. |

The Dalits of India are group of 250 million people that have been opressed religiously, socially, economically and educationally for over 3,000 years. The Dalit Freedom Network partners with the Dalits in their quest for religious freedom, social justice and human rights by mobilizing human, informational and financial resources. There are many ways to volunteer and get involved on trips to India or local prayer evenings. |

SunHouse Mission Outreach Spring Break Project

Each year, more than 50 high school students from SD area go out into the community and build homes. Past trips have been to Downtown Los Angeles. This year, the SunHouse and Young Life students went to an Indian Reservation near Temecula to build a house with Lazarian World Homes. Watch this video to see their progress! |
