Our History

In 1905, ten dedicated and faithful individuals, representing a handful of families, had the desire to share God's love as a community.  Church meetings were held in a tent on Eads Avenue, then in "The Little Brown Church" on Girard Avenue, and ultimately on Draper Avenue.  As the needs of the small congregation changed, the church leadership responded.  Numerous expansions and remodels continued over the years, and the neighborhood church matured and evolved into one that now draws people from across the country.

With this rich heritage, we look ahead with great anticipation to what God has in store for us in the future.  As a congregation of more than 1,500 members, we continue to move forward in faith to better serve the community, the nation and the world in Jesus' name.
