For updates and information on the Associate Pastor search committee and their progress... The Associate Pastor Nominating Committee (APNC) has been commissioned by the congregation to find a Minister of Community Life for the church.

It is anticipated this search may take several months. Please return to this site regularly for updates on the progress.

Process: The committee develops a Church Information Form (CIF) that is posted in the Church Leadership Connection for review by potential candidates. The CIF lists information about our church and requirements for the new Associate Pastor. After the form is completed by the APNC the Session and the Presbytery Committee on Ministry (COM) approves it. Once approved by Session and the COM, the CIF is posted for review by interested Pastors.

The interested Pastors and others selected by a computer search submit a Personal Information Form (PIF) listing their qualifications for review by the APNC. This list of candidates is narrowed to a smaller list of more detailed interviews to evaluate the common needs of LJPC and the Associate Pastor.

Update (September 26, 2007): The Church Information Form (CIF) describing our requirements has been completed and approved by Session and Presbytery. It has been posted in the Presbyterian Church Leadership Connection (CLC) section of the PCUSA website. We have received approximately 50 responses to date, and are evaluating them systematically. We will be briefing the congregation on our status in Early November. Once the list has been narrowed to a few matching candidates, we will begin the interview process.

Update (June 2008): Our APNC continues to meet weekly to review Personal Information Forms (PIFS) submitted by potential candidates.  The committee has reviewed approximately 100 PIFS and has interviewed potential candidates by phone and in person.  We continue to seek the Lord's guidance and his person for this position. Your prayers are appreciated.

When the final selection is complete, the candidate will be presented to the congregation for final approval of a call.
