We are pleased to announce that Greg Shepherd will be working with LJPC in the area of planned giving.  Greg is a professional gift planning specialist and has worked with over thirty churches in Southern California.  Prior to his work as a gift planning specialist, Greg worked twenty-two years with Thrivent Financial as a registered representative where he received special training in estate and gift planning.  He also worked two years in the fraternal division of Thrivent Financial helping congregations in the area of fund raising.  Prior to working for Thrivent Financial, Greg was the director of a Lutheran outdoor ministry program and former president of the Southern Section American Camping Association..  Greg is also the current president for the Southwest Chapter of the Association of Lutheran Development Executives.

Greg is married with four adult children plus nine grandchildren and counting.  Greg’s passion is his work for the church and golf.  He and his wife, Narcisa, enjoy traveling together and hiking. 

Greg is available, at no cost to you, if you would like to review your estate and gifting plans for your heirs and/or the church.  If you do not have a will or trust, Greg can provide materials and guidance in preparation for meeting with an estate planning attorney if necessary.
